Happy Mother's Day!

I just want to wish all the women in my life a very happy Mother's Day! I am very blessed to have women in my life who love and inspire me to be a better wife and mother, and offer up Godly wisdom in times of need. Today we had a Mother's Day Tea at our church, and I took Tatum, Avery and Madeline. They loved the tea party part for sure and drank two cups of tea each! Tatum was very proper through the whole tea and felt very grown up, it was a special time to share with my big girls. Each table had a hostess that set up and decorated in a different theme, we sat at a very beautiful, whimsical butterfly table. She did an awesome job, unfortunately my picture doesn't do it justice. For Mother's Day gifts I made these cupcake pops, I had gotten the idea from Bakerella's blog. Mine didn't turn out as great as hers did but they looked okay. Here's mine
And these are hers

They're pretty easy to do, but oh so tedious. I started the whole process about 9:30 p.m. and didn't go to bed until 2:30 a.m., and I only candy coated 23 of the 50 I made! It was definitely time consuming but they are adorable and very delicious! These are some of her other ideas that I'm going to try at a later date, they seem a little less time consuming since they are a one dip process and I won't have to wait as long for them to dry.
I think these little chicks would also be cute for baby showers, pink for girls and blue for boys.
All very cute and if any of you want to try them just go to her site on my blog list and click on the Pop Central logo and scroll down to the bottom of the page to get the recipe, so easy but make sure you have plenty of time set aside. And send me your pics so I can see how they turned out! Tonight our friends Connie, Shane and their girls watched the kids while we went and saw "Wolverine", it was really good! It was even better because we had free movie passes. Thanks Meehan's for being such awesome friends and loving our kids as much as we do! I'll just leave you with a pic of Ainsley sleeping with her Care Bears, isn't she just the sweetest thing?
