As promised

So we have found out some great news that we are expecting again! We are very excited and so far everything is going really well. I've been to one doctor's appt. and the doctor has had nothing but positive things to say. I have an ultrasound on the tenth, so I'll be able to see the heartbeat and then I can breathe a sigh of relief for sure. I don't know how far I am so that's one of the reasons for the ultrasound but by the hcg levels in my blood they are estimating about five to six weeks. So we just ask for your prayers. We had a great Thanksgiving and hope you all did as well. We had our own dinner on Thanksgiving day, it turned out really wellAnd for those of you who like to see me in more pictures, here's me reheating gravy in the microwave in my really messy kitchen! The next day we had dinner again with our friends the Meehan's and had a great day. Unfortunately I didn't bring my camera, but I guess you all don't really want to see pics of us eating anyways. I've been a little crafty lately, so I took some pics of what I've done. This first craft is of some paper mache pumpkins I had bought like two or three years ago and didn't know what I wanted to do with them yet. So I painted them cream and distressed them with brown ink. Then I took some scrapbook paper and went to the craft store and cut out some leaf shapes with their die cut machine and tied them to the pumpkins. The next craft is an advent calendar I made out of a cookie sheet I got from the grocery store, I spray painted it white and glued some scrapbook papers to it. Then I glittered the edges. The paper pack that I got had these punch outs that I added numbers from my stash of scrapbook supplies, glittered, and then added magnets to the back of each one so that the kids can put one for each day until Christmas. This is what it looked like painted and just the paper glued onAnd this is the finished product with all 25 numbers on it, I'm still thinking of having Ash drill some holes in the top so that I can hang it with some pretty ribbon.I'm working on a couple other projects as well, so I'll post those when I'm done with them.

Trunk or Treat

This year we did trunk or treat, which is basically where you give candy out from the trunk of your car. It was a lot of fun, because you got to visit with friends and could let the kids run around and know they're safe. I dressed up as a scarecrow, I painted my face and stuck straw in the pockets of my overalls. It was funny because a little girl came dressed as Dorothy and she made it a point to tell me that we were from the same movie. She was really cute. The kids are loaded with candy, with five kids the candy is just overflowing. We'll have candy to last until next Halloween. Thanks again Erin and Stephen for the amazing costumes the kids were stoked and they got tons of compliments. The costumes were handmade from a friend of Erin's(except for Prestin's). Prestin was a soldier, Tatum was a masquerade ballroom dancer, Avery was an angel, Madi was a tutu wearing bunny but would not keep the bunny ears on to make mommy happy, and Ainsley was a cat. Too cute! Our friend's daughter Faith was a duckIf anyone would like this recipe for Pumpkin popcorn balls let me know, they were yummy and really fun to make!

Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins!

Well that about sums up the month of October, we had pumpkins on the brain around here. First, is Prestin's field trip to The Plant Farm, where Ash was able to go with. Here's some pics of their day.

Next, was our trip to Biringer Farms with our friends Lance, Jennifer and their girls Grace and Faith.

While at the farm they had this petting zoo area where you could feed the goats, it was pretty funny what they had set up.

And last, we had a pumpkin carving party at our house, which turned out really fun and apparently is going to be an annual thing from now on. We titled the invitations B.Y.O.P.(bing your own pumpkin)we had a great turn out between 40 and 50 people. It was a lot of fun!
