Pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins!

Well that about sums up the month of October, we had pumpkins on the brain around here. First, is Prestin's field trip to The Plant Farm, where Ash was able to go with. Here's some pics of their day.








Next, was our trip to Biringer Farms with our friends Lance, Jennifer and their girls Grace and Faith.

While at the farm they had this petting zoo area where you could feed the goats, it was pretty funny what they had set up.





And last, we had a pumpkin carving party at our house, which turned out really fun and apparently is going to be an annual thing from now on. We titled the invitations B.Y.O.P.(bing your own pumpkin)we had a great turn out between 40 and 50 people. It was a lot of fun!

Heavy on my heart

First of all I would like to apologize for not keeping this blog up to date, I know that I have a lot of loyal readers and it must be a let down when there isn't anything new posted. There has been a lot going on in our life right now that has kept me from wanting to blog, which is also another reason I must apologize(this is going to get a little weepy so please bare with me). I have been keeping some things from all of you, even though we know we have many family and friends who love us dearly and pray for us often. In May we found out that we were pregnant, it was not planned but was greatly anticipated and already loved very much. But unfortunately two weeks later we miscarried, we were crushed. We did not plan for anymore but on October third we were thrilled to find out that we were going to have another baby, sadly two weeks later we miscarried again. I have been to the doctor and she doesn't feel any reason to believe that there is anything wrong with me, but we will have to wait and see! Which brings me to why we didn't tell anyone, in the past whether it's been in humor or concern comments have been made about our family's size. Yes it's obvious we are not the average size family, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We have never thought of children as burdens and while we can take a joke and are probably the most laid back people you will ever meet it's hard to be excited to tell people you're expecting when you know that you're not going to get a congratulations. So with all that said if we decide to have another child please know that we don't make this decision lightly, we know that the economy is not great right now. But we don't and never have put our trust in the world, but in God. He has gotten us through this roller coaster of emotions and I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't cry out to my Heavenly Father. I write this, if not for my own healing, to tell you if we do get pregnant I promise to post it on the blog and just ask for your support and prayer as the concern for possible miscarriage arises. We love you all and want you to be involved in our family as much as possible. Thanks for listening it has been a burden on my heart and I needed to let it go.

Fall is here!

I wanted to catch you up on some of the pics we've taken in the last couple of weeks before the weather decided to get rainy. These first couple of pics are of our garden. We've been growing pumpkins, wildflowers and sunflowers, Avery planted the one she is standing by.This pumpkin has since turned bright orange and will be carved at a pumpkin carving party we're going to have on the 30th.Ash took this sweet picture of the girls.

Things are going well

Well the kids have been in school for a couple weeks now and things are going really well. Prestin ended up being changed from Mrs. Haight's class to Mrs. Pennington's class, because they had so many students enroll this year. They actually had to hire Mrs. Pennington because they needed to make another first grade class. Tatum has Mrs. Berry and is in P.M. Kindergarten. She takes the bus to school, they pick her up right in front of the house. She likes riding the bus a lot. These are pics of them on their first day of school.Prestin wasn't really interested in getting his picture taken, but as you can see Tatum is not shy at all.



We also celebrated Avery's fourth birthday last weekend, we just had a family dinner and cake. It was really nice, she's growing up so fast. Thank you to everyone who sent gifts and cards!

Far too long

Well at least I know that my blog is being read by people because I've been hearing from everyone that I need to update it.(lol) Sorry it's been so long, here it goes, we've been registering the kids for school. Prestin will be in first grade this year and Tatum is going into Kindergarten. Prestin will have Mrs. Haight(pronounced hate)but she seems to be a very nice lady and Tatum we still don't know which teacher she will be having, they still had some last minute details to finish. So anyways the last two nights have been orientation nights for both kids and I've been school shopping for all the many supplies that the kids will need. It was fun but it makes me wonder what does the school provide? I had to buy for Tatum alone, 18 glue sticks! That's a lot of stinking glue sticks! So anyways I'll get over my shock soon, we've also been getting over a flu bug, except for Ash, it seems to have a hold on him pretty good. Ainsley is walking everywhere now and getting into everything, she's actually been walking for over a month and a half, but you didn't know that because I haven't posted for awhile.(hee hee) The kids have been wild lately, especially Madi, she's been keeping me on my toes a lot! In one week she drew on the wall and door with a pen(thank God for those Mr. Clean sponges),
got into my nail polish,

and got a hold of my camera.

It must have been after lunch or something because her face is a mess! I've also been cleaning out my house from top to bottom, I've already gotten rid of eight garbage bags full of stuff and I haven't even gone through my room yet. But I feel so much lighter now that I've cleaned up a bit. This past week we celebrated Prestin's 7th birthday, we had Ash's company picnic at Wild Waves and it happened to be on Prestin's birthday so we decided to have a little party the following Saturday with some friends and let him have a friend sleep over. Prestin's really into Spiderman so we made one cake for his actual birthday and a second for his party. They turned out pretty cute, Ash is great at webbing cakes!




I also had a birthday and Ash bought me another beautiful cake from the bakery at our grocery store. In the very center was a cup made of chocolate, filled with a chocolate mousse, and topped with raspberries, blueberries and strawberries. I have to say that I was in birthday bliss, things like that make me so happy. That saying "pretty please,with a cherry on top" is so true with me,just adding that extra little touch or putting forth that extra bit of effort means so much to me. On my birthday Ainsley decided to make the day a little more exciting by bumping her mouth and causing the skin that attaches her top lip to her gums to tear, one of her top teeth to be shoved up into her gums and one of her bottom teeth to puncture her top gums. Needless to say it was a bloody mess, when the bleeding stopped I was able to look and see the tear, but something didn't look right to me. It turns out that her tooth was a little higher than usual, so I took her to the dentist. He said to keep an eye on it, but more than likely it would fall back into place because she is so young. And that the skin would heal itself, so she looks fine and is as happy as ever.So anyways that's all for now, but like always I'll leave you with some silly pics of my kids.
